Hello folks, November is a good month and God will surely surprise you. Love y’all for reading my stuff. There’s this saying that “Your Health Is Your Wealth”
That’s right! Perfectly true. Today we’re looking at how to maintain a clean environment. Well, if you don’t possess good health, you can’t do anything!
Our society has undermined the value of good health. However, it is necessary to know that good healthy lifestyle complements our wealth.
National Commission For Civic Education Metro Office, helped organize a clean up exercise in the nation’s capital, Kwame Nkrumah Interchange last Saturday. You can see all the mess they cleared from the city. Cleanliness is key in our existence and that cannot be denied. Maintaining a clean environment promotes good health and long life. It is therefore needful for everyone to practice healthy lifestyle.
Healthy living begins with ourselves before transcending to our environment. A person with good health ethics or personal hygiene automatically replicates this in the cleanliness of his or her environment.
I quite remember many years ago, a woman who lives in the hood threw refuse in the drain in front of my house. When I questioned her, She retorted in our local parlance “Aden efa woho bèn” meaning “Why, does this concern you”? I was surprised the way she reacted.
Society needs to understand that “Good Health, Brings Great Wealth. Filthy environment is detrimental to our health. How can one enjoy wealth if he or she has health challenges?
“Our health is our wealth”.
Good health is a personal and collective effort to achieving and maintaining a lifestyle void of physical and mental challenges, sickness or diseases. When an individual adopts and maintains good personal health ethics such as regular exercise, regular check ups, eating balanced diet, avoiding stress and organizing clean ups, it will enhance the cleanliness of the environment. Wishing you all good health and long life as we strive for a fulfilling lifestyle.
Let me have your thoughts.
Cheers!
