Very often most people are not particular about what they eat or drink, and this has brought a lot of diseases and unrest to mankind.
3 John 2 says,”I wish above all things that your soul prospers, and be in good health. God is so concerned about our physical and spiritual well-being but we have ignored these instructions from the bible and because of wrong eating habits we have inflicted various diseases on ourselves. This has brought a lot of death in our world today.
Millions of people are sick and they cannot find solution to it. Most people attribute it to witches and demons, but the truth of the matter is that, some of us don’t take proper care of our body; instead we focus on other things. In Africa, especially in Ghana we love funerals and that is our biggest problem. It’s about time we began to take proper care of our body while we are young.
Let’s eat more fruits and vegetables.
Bananas, apples, oranges, grapes, pawpaw, pineapples .
Vegetables- Dandelions, okra, onions, spinach, cabbage etc.Let’s avoid eating heavily in the evenings. Evening meal should be the lightest of all.
Some recommendation
Eat early, avoid night or late suppers
Don’t drink water with meals
Wait 15-20 minutes after food before drinking water.
Take your time to chew your food thoroughly, digestion begins in the mouth.
Don’t eat too much salt
Take a walk after meals and breath deeply.
Exercise three times a week. If you can’t do a vigorous exercise, walking briskly ten to fifteen minutes three times a week will do.
Go for regular check ups
Water is life! Drink eight glasses of water a day.
Check your body mass index and maintain a healthy weight.
Rest is key.
Believe in God and tell Him your troubles. He cares!
